On July 29, in the heart of the Marche region, we had the pleasure of taking part in a truly special evening at the Frolla Market, the first inclusive supermarket in Italy run by people with disabilities, located in Osimo, in the province of Ancona.
As part of Frolla’s summer Tuesday theme nights, the “I Love Scrocchiarella®” event took place — an interactive cooking show featuring the Frolla Microbiscottificio team and our pizza chefs, who faced off in a dough-making challenge.
For the occasion, participants were split into two teams – Team White and Team Red – and created original recipes using Scrocchiarella® bases and sandwiches, enhancing typical local ingredients from the Marche region. It was a creative and engaging moment, made even more meaningful by the skills developed during the training course last May, which marked the beginning of our collaboration with Frolla.
The audience, actively involved in the event, was invited to taste and vote for their favorite recipes: in a thrilling head-to-head, Team White won with 23 votes against Team Red’s 22. A truly participatory “aperipizza,” able to bring together flavors and relationships, speaking the language we love most: the language of human connection.
A special thank you goes to Filippo Giuriatti and Francesco Balestrieri for their valuable support during the evening, and congratulations to Frolla Market for bringing to the table quality, joy, and a strong sense of community.
